Sir/Madam,
The recent remarks made by the Chairman of Larsen & Toubro about relationships within families are both shocking and disappointing. Families thrive on mutual respect and understanding, and trivializing this by commenting on how long one can spend with a spouse is not only disrespectful but also unbecoming of someone holding such a high and esteemed position.
Larsen & Toubro has always been an organization known for its strong values and principles, but such comments have hurt the sentiments of women and tarnished the company’s image. India holds women and family values in high regard, and it is unacceptable for a leader to express such opinions publicly.
While everyone is entitled to their personal opinions, leaders must exercise caution in their public statements. It is high time the board of L&T takes this matter seriously and ensures accountability. The question now is: who will bell the cat and uphold the reputation of this prestigious organization?
Thank you
SVR
